Too many racers think about having a system and doing practice starts, but far too few actually put it into action. This presentation breaks it down beautifully, making it easy to build your own plan, adapt it to your boat and conditions, and truly own the line.

I’m so glad I could be part of it. I learned a ton and I’m looking forward to jumping in here to help answer any questions that pop up in the forum!

Thanks you Diona, Kristen, and Steve. What an excellent session on starting tactics! I really enjoyed Steve’s advice on how to practice starts prior to a race, and it was really great that he touched on knowing when to bail on a starting tactic to find a better alternative strategy. I hope to see some of these starting tactics put to work in a Performance Race Week soon, and to hear more from Steve on strategy.
