My first BVI adventure!
Last month, I had the chance to sail the British Virgin Islands with LTD Sailing’s “Living the Dream” flotilla, and it was an unforgettable experience!
We kicked off our adventure at Hodges Creek Marina, setting sail for Cooper Island Beach Club. After settling in, we spent the day swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying a delicious dinner ashore.
One of my absolute favorite moments was spending the day on Anegada, where we rented Mouk’s and drove around the entire island. The landscape was stunning, and the adventure was unforgettable. A stop at Tipsy’s for a snack and afternoon pain killer was perfect! Midweek, we made our way to Leverick Bay and the Bitter End Yacht Club, which had a breathtaking setting—especially at sunset. There’s something magical about watching the sun dip below the horizon from that vantage point.
Another highlight was swimming ashore to the Soggy Dollar Bar—it felt so fitting to arrive by water for drinks at such an iconic spot. The weather throughout the trip was perfect, and the sailing conditions couldn’t have been better.
Throughout the week, we spotted so much marine life—sharks, stingrays, turtles, and needlefish—making every day feel like a new adventure.
The trip ended with a stop at Peter Island, where we snorkeled, explored sea caves, and capped off the journey with a “Chopped”-style dinner challenge on board.
This flotilla was a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and pure fun.
