Mark, congrats on getting the new sailboat! Sailing is one of those things that the more you do it, the more you learn. When I was getting into sailing bigger boats, I asked (begged) to get on a lot of people’s boats so I could gain experience where I knew I didn’t have it yet. Formalized classes like ours (like the 101 you mentioned) will bring you such a long way, but while you’re waiting, you can get a lot out of just sailing with other people on their boats.
