Bees. Massive hive of bees took to liking our gaff mains’l. They didn’t bother us other than they were up there, just clinging to the sailcloth deep in the camber of the sail. We tried hosing them off, but they must’ve just figured it was raining because they didn’t go anywhere. They stayed there for hours. I figured someone must’ve spilled something like a soft drink on there at one point and one of the bees caught wind of it and invited his entire hive over for a sugar buzz. Took a few hours of sailing around with them up there before they headed off.
