Who is this online class for?

This course is targeted to sailors and racers seeking to improve their understanding of sail trim for better speed, balance, and control in all conditions. Upwind topics include mainsail and jib trim, helming, and a special Trim Solutions section to solve the most baffling problems in upwind performance. The Downwind portion covers the trim of both symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers, as well as non-spinnaker jib-and-main sailing. Starting from initial settings, we show how refinements in sail shape and trim technique improve performance.
