These reviews are always helpful. How do you recommend we dispose of expired flares? I’ve contacted my local fire dept and they send me to the USCG. When contacting the USCG they send me to my fire dept.

The Weems and Plath SOS light is a wonderful addition and I highly recommend it to friends, and it is indeed the only LED unit that meets the regulation. However, it is a late addition to the mix and follows the lead set by ACR back in the 90’s, although no longer available. I have owned 2 of ACR’s units over the years, and if my current light were to in some fashion die, I would buy a W&P immediately.

If you have an older ACR, it also meets the requirement.
