Seattle Sailing Club has had an active women’s sailing program for over a decade. Their efforts promoting women in sailing have resulted in a significant increase of women among the ranks of the members at Seattle Sailing Club. Their program hosts monthly events that focus on all aspects of the sailing lifestyle and the summer activities include a racing team.

Their mission statement says it all:

“The women of the Club are strong, capable, self-sufficient, and motivated sailors. The purpose of our group is to provide an encouraging and supportive environment for women to feel safe and empowered to fulfill their sailing goals and dreams. Whether your goals consist of skippering charters, competing in regattas, or sailing around the world, we invite our women Club members of all experience levels to come along on our fun Puget Sound sailing adventures. The SSC Women’s Program is a fun opportunity for women to learn, experience, and sail together!”

Take a look at what they are doing at Seattle Sailing Club.
