Notes👨‍✈️ ASA Sailing Instructor, Join the Intelligent Sailing Team. 👨‍✈️ Intelligent Sailing is hiring ASA Sailing Instructors! • ⛵ Intelligent Sailing is a local, privately owned sailing school now in its 24th year. We are proud to be the longest-serving ASA sailing school in St. Petersburg and currently hold a 3.9 out of 4 rating from ASA student survey feedback. We are also extremely proud that three current Intelligent Sailing captains were recognized among ASA's Top 30 Captains of 2025. Teach on a Young, Modern Fleet. Join our team and experience the enjoyment of teaching new students, returning customers, and Intelligent Sailing members aboard one of the youngest training fleets in the area. ⛵ Our fleet ranges from 2021 to as new as 2027 and currently includes: ⛵• 6 modern monohulls ranging from 32 to 51 feet ⛵• Catamarans ranging from 38 to 45 feet ⛵• Modern equipment and systems ⛵• Clean, professionally maintained training yachts. 🌞 We believe great sailing instruction should take place on great boats. 👨‍✈️ Who We're Looking For. ⚓ We are searching for motivated, self-starting, upbeat ASA instructors who want to become part of the Intelligent Sailing family. ⛵ Our focus is primarily on one-on-one and small-group instruction, providing a personalized training experience that allows our instructors to adapt to each student's experience, confidence, learning style, and abilities. 👨‍✈️ Our ideal instructor is someone who can ⛵• step aboard one of our yachts, ⛵• take ownership of the training experience, ⛵• maintain a professional, patient, positive, and encouraging attitude throughout the course. 📚 Every student is different. Some arrive with years of sailing experience, while others may be stepping aboard a sailboat for the first time. The ability to recognize those differences and adjust your teaching style accordingly is an important part of being an Intelligent Sailing instructor. 👨‍✈️ Experience Matters. Attitude Matters Even More. ⛵ Extensive sailing experience, good seamanship, and strong instructional skills are important, but so is having the right attitude. 👨‍✈️ We want instructors who genuinely enjoy working with people and take pride in helping students become safe, comfortable, competent, and confident sailors. 🧑‍🎓 Our goal is simple: give every student a wonderful sailing and learning experience. 🧑‍💼 Work is steady throughout much of the year, although, like most sailing operations, there can be seasonal lulls. Why Teach on an Old Boat When You Can Teach on a New One? Don't make the mistake of spending your teaching days aboard tired, smelly old training boats. 🌞 Join Intelligent Sailing, step aboard a young, modern fleet, and feel new! 🌞 Interested in Joining Us? 🌞 Please contact us with your resume/CV along with a short paragraph explaining your sailing and instructional experience and why you believe you would be a good fit for Intelligent Sailing. ⛵ We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully welcoming you aboard the Intelligent Sailing Team. Thanks in advance, 🌞 Intelligent Sailing St. Petersburg, Florida 🌞
