Lake Norman Community Sailing (LNCS) has two Capri 22s used exclusively to teach ASA 101 Basic Keelboat classes. The Capri 22 offers a stable and responsive sailing platform for all sailing abilities. Our classes are limited to three students per class. Whether your goal is to bareboat charter, buy a keelboat or just learn how to sail, our seasoned instructors will give you the skills and confidence you need to skipper a larger boat on your own. Our goal is to give you a relaxed sailing experience that makes you fall in love with sailing and want more.
LNCS is a 501 (c) (3) organization conveniently located inside Blythe Landing Park on the south end of Lake Norman, about 20 miles north of Charlotte, NC. In operation since 2008, we offer sailing and paddleboard classes and memberships giving members access to our fleet of Flying Scots, Sunfish, kayaks, and paddleboards. As a member, you can access our equipment seven days a week, sunrise to sunset, year-round.
