Windward SeaVenture Charters is an ASA certified sailing school with instructors voted “Instructor of the Year” for 2002, 2005, 2006, 2013 and all are USCG Master Level licensed captains. Most of our instructors have over 30 years’ experience in sailing and teaching. We also offer you a discount on all charters you take with us for 1 year from your date of completion of any class with no monthly club dues or yearly fees. Our class sizes are limited to 4 persons plus instructor, so that you will have individual attention. If you prefer, we can provide private sailing lessons to suite your schedule. Our sail training is on 31′ to 34′ pocket cruisers for the ASA 101 class that have biminis (covered cockpits) to provide shade and full head (restroom) facilities aboard. On our pocket cruisers, you will experience the feel of a larger boat and get a better understanding of sailing dynamics over smaller “day sailers”. You will then be better prepared for the next level of ASA classes, the Coastal and Bareboat course (103/104) or ‘combo’ as we call it. When you are ready to take the ‘combo’ course, you will train on one of our fully equipped 38′ to 41′ sailing yachts.

Our courses are designed for the sailors that want to learn by hands on sailing rather than sitting in a classroom listening to sail theory. You will spend your days on the sailboats learning by doing from some of the most experienced sailors and best instructors in Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
