If your particular needs don’t exactly fit within the standard curriculum, we will tailor a course of instruction to fit your needs. Starboard Sailing is for those of you who would like that little bit extra in sailing lessons. Our extended, in-depth courses are designed to that higher level of learning. We offer all ASA certifications up to and including Cruising Catamaran and Advanced Coastal Cruising.

Our lead instructor, Thomas Burns, has held a 100 Ton Master’s License, and 50 Ton Sailing Endorsement through the U.S. Coast Guard for the last 30 years. Both Thomas and instructor Menette Burns have several years of experience racing, cruising and crewing, including multi-day blue water passages and ocean crossing.

Our diverse, Ft Myers Beach and Sanibel Island waters are the perfect sub-tropical sailing waters are unmatched for training. Our ASA instructor ratings are awesome! We achieve that by providing great coaches, access to outstanding training waters, and proper vessels for learning.

SailNashville offers its classes from Hamilton Creek Marina on Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, Tennessee. Our classes are limited to four students. You never share a class with more than three students. This allows every student more hands-on time on the tiller and personalized instruction. Our ASA 101 course is taught on a new Catalina 22 Sport. The Catalina provides a very stable, but responsive sailing platform for beginning students.

California Sailing Cooperative (CSC), founded in 1994, is a non-profit club and school offering American Sailing certifications at an affordable cost on a well maintained Catalina 36.
